Homework #2: Excel
Homework #2 (Excel), due October 22 at 0.01hs.
- For this homework you need to generate 2 Excel worksheets (you can send just one file that contains both worksheets).
- Each of the worksheets contain a table and a chart.
- I will provide you with a picture of what your result should look like. You can find them here:
- Part 1 (jpg), Part 2 (jpg), Part 1 and Part 2 (word).
- Please submit your homework as an email attachment to christianatlincoln@gmail.com.
Part 1:
1. Generate a table like this one (here you can download it as a word file, here as a jpeg picture).
2. Use the values given for the first 4 columns (Color, Model, Price and Qty).
3. The 5th column should be calculated as Price * Qty.
4. The 6th column should be calculated as the percentage of the Qty for that row as a percentage of the total of the quantity column.
5. Generate totals for the last 3 columns.
6. OF COURSE, for 3, 4 and 5 you need to use formulas, not just copy values (I will check this and you will get zero points if you just enter values).
7. Format the table (borders, bold, italics, numbers, etc) as given.
8. Generate a graph that looks like the one given (including Series labels, etc).
Part 2:
1. As you did in part 1, enter the values given in the example for rows Jan to Dec and for the four columns.
2. The "Total", "Max", "Average", "Median" and "Mode" row should be the... guess what? Total, max, average, median and mode value of the column. Of course, you need to use formulas!
3. Format the table as you see it in the example (including number formats).
4. Notice that the values in the table (only Jan to Dec rows) include CONDITIONAL formatting:
- Cells with values less than 15 should be displayed with font color red.
- Cells with values greater than 60 should be displayed with font color green.
5. Generate a chart like the one shown (including series labels, axis labels, etc)
